It is known news that recently the audio release function of the film Parijatha happened in grand style. Now, it is heard that the songs are becoming a craze. Buzz is that the number Oh Parijatha... which was rendered by Sonu Nigam and Nee Mohisu...rendered by Shreya Ghoshal are being seen in the top twenty chartbusters of south cinema. The music for the film is by Mano Murthy and this has Doodh Peda Diganth as the hero.

There is something which instantly attracts you in the audio album of Parijatha directed by Prabhu Srinivas starring Diganth and Aindrita. The songs composed for the film is in vintage Mano Murthy style- trendy, youthful, romantic and melodious- is a real treat for the music lovers who want contemporary music mixed with style and melody. All the songs of the album which are quite different from each other bear the stamp of this musical expert whose work has determined the success of many Kannada films. Infact it is Mano Murthy’s music which brought the musical content and its earning potential to the forefront in the Kannada film industry.

Parijatha has all the ingredients to make it a good buy to be placed in your library. Apart from the attractive cover that showcases the compatible on screen chemistry of Diganth and Aindrita (Lunar sandles company would certainly be jealous of the still in the cover design which features their two lovely brand ambassadors) the quality of songs composition and lyrical strength provided by talented Jayanth Kaikini and Kaviraj may be the major factor that may influence music lovers to buy the album.

My favourite song in the album is certainly Eh, Chadrika song rendered by Kunal Ganjawala. Ganjawala proves that his rendering added with a bit of style is sure to make a song a big hit. The joy and exuberance displayed through the song and its lyrics cannot be explained in simple words. Another song Nee Mohisu song rendered by Shreya Ghoshal (which has two versions in the album) is also beautifully composed. Shreya who is presently country’s best singer has played the song with a haunting voice in which the romantic and melodious overtones cannot be missed out. Sometimes you remember the famous Nee Naguva song in the film Manasaare, but still this Shreya Ghoshal song will also be the pick of the album.

I expected a little more from the title song rendered by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal, but I don’t know whether my bar of expectations was little higher. But then I was told by Mohan of Anand Audio who have brought out the album that the song has been well picturised.
Well, I really do not know whether my opinion will change after I see the visual beauty of the song’s picturisation.

The mass song Hogolo was one song that did not appeal to me when I first heard, but I had to change my initial reaction when I replayed it along with other songs. The song is a real beauty considering its trendy lyrics and singer Vijaya Prakash’s absolutely ‘Damki’ Voice.

Huduga rendered by Rajesh and penned by Jayanth Kaikini is another good song of the audio. Rajesh has sung this song in his signature style.
I am told by Mohan that the response to the film’s music has surpassed his own expectations. Go for it and place the album in your library without fail.
