Mano murthy on the background score for Manasaare

ManomurthyKannada film industry's musical genius Mano Murthy who changed the course of film music in Kannada films feels so excited to speak about his new film Manasaare which is directed by Yogaraj Bhat. Murthy has composed some rocking songs for the film and is now involved in the re-recording work of the film.

Mano Murthy is normally a very quiet person not given to an emotional stress during his work. Though he is completely involved in his work, he makes it a point to strike a difference between being involved professionally and involved too much with the story element of the film. But his experience of working in Manasaare has been quite different, says Mano Murthy. We quote his own words which describe his experience of working in a film like Manasaare and handling the re-recording work.

'Working on Manasaare has been and still continues to be a very unraveling and lovingly crazy experience. You always expect something fresh from good directors and producers. But something that makes you go crazy? I thought I was a very "sane" person until I saw Manasaare. I have now gone crazy for sure working on the background music for Manasaare. Don't know where I will end up when I am done with the movie. Perhaps in a mental asylum? This may all sound very strange but once you see the movie it will all make sense. I hope! My many thanks to Yograg Bhat and Rockline Venkatesh for giving me this 'Manasaare' experience' says Mano Murthy.

Gokula - A new project with Prakash (Milana Fame!)

BANGALORE: Director Prakash, who made his debut with the film Kushi, is all set to direct his sixth film Gokula. Its muhurat function was held at Sri Someswara Temple, Ulsoor on July 2. Vijaya Raghavendra, Yash, Pavan and Raghuraj are expected to play the key roles while Pooja Gandhi and Nakshtra are the female leads. So why only two heroines for four heroes? It is not that the two heroines are paired opposite four heroes. While Pooja is paired with Vijaya Raghavendra, Nakshtra, the daughter of veteran character artiste Sumithra and director D Rajendra Babu, is acting along with Yash,’’ explains Prakash with a smile.Prakash’s other films are Rishi, Shree, Vamshi and Milana. Except, the film Shree, all other films were a big success at the box-office. The film Milana, in which Puneeth Rajkumar and Parvathi Menon were the lead pair, ran for 445 days at PVR and enjoyed 100 days of success at around 30 theatres across Karnataka. His recent film was Vamshi in which heroine of yesteryear Lakshmi played the mother of Puneeth Rajkumar. There is no secret formula with me for the success of my films at the box office. I focus on the script of the film. I direct films based on the script and certainly not for the heroes or heroines, explains Prakash. The film Gokula will have Srinivasamurthy and Sumithra while Ravi Kale plays a local don. It may be recalled that Kale has acted in Prakash’s earlier film Vamshi. Why has he chosen Kale to play a local don, when he could have chosen somebody closer home? I like Kale’s acting. I think the script demands Kale for the villain’s role. It is not that local artistes are not suitable to play such roles but Kale is apt for this particular role, says Prakash.Denying the media reports on Gokula stating that it is a re-make of Hindi film Golmaal, Prakash took pains to explain that it is an original film and not a re-make of any Hindi film. It is all about four orphans and how they adjust with society and how they come up in their life.I can’t make any comments on the media persons who write about my film without knowing the facts, the director said.

Mano Murthy is composing music for this film while Satya Hegde handles the camera.

Mano Murthy back with a bang !
